Students at Lynnville have many opportunities to be well-rounded individuals.
Lindies sports teams rise to the challenge of taking on larger schools while portraying exemplary sportsmanship. Lynnville Elementary has won or placed runner-up in several Warrick County sports tournaments in the past few years.
Students also can participate in extracurricular activities such as the Spelling Bee, Dance Teams, Robotics, Student Council, Choir and Little Hoosier Historians Club. Many students at our school also take opportunities to give of themselves by volunteering at a community soup kitchen or supporting philanthropies such as American Red Cross disaster relief, Easter Seals Hop-a-Thon, Riley Childrens Hospitals Caring and Sharing, and St. Jude Children's Hospitals Hop-a-Thon and Bike-A-Thon.
Mr. Raber established student reward programs at the different grade levels. Primary students earn Lindy Bucks from their teachers for doing good deeds and having good work. They redeem these Lindy Bucks in the office where they can select an item from the treasure box. Students in the upper grades who have no conduct issues and very few late papers (determined at each grade level) are rewarded with a Responsibility Pizza Party after each nine weeks' grading period. After each nine weeks' report cards are issued, Mr. Raber visits the classrooms at all grade levels to award the students Honor Roll ribbons, Perfect Attendance Awards, and often additional incentives offered by partnering area and regional businesses.
